Roslyn Young Memorial Concert

There’s no better way to enjoy a fall afternoon than listening to the glorious music of Mozart!
On Sunday, October 11th at 4:00 pm at the Madison First Congregational Church on the Green there will be a concert featuring two works from Mozart’s mature chamber music, the virtuosic Piano Quartet in E flat Major, K. 493, and the lyric, otherworldly Clarinet Quintet in A Major, K. 581. Performing will be the New York-based chamber music ensemble, Circle of Friends, with Matthew Goodman, clarinet, and Julia Bady, piano.

Matthew Goodman has been praised by the New York Times for his “beautiful range of colors”.  Julia Bady has performed solo and chamber music throughout the New York and New England regions. Circle of Friends is comprised of chamber music specialists Judson Griffin, violin, Andrea Andros, violin, Alissa Smith, viola, and Loretta O’Sullivan, cello, who have performed to acclaim throughout the U.S. and Europe.

The Roslyn Young Memorial is a non-profit organization established by the family of professional violist Roslyn Young to honor her memory by presenting an annual classical music concert near Guilford, CT, her home town.
Tickets are $20, under 18 free, available at the door.

There will be a Pre-concert Talk at 3:15pm, and a Reception following the concert.
