Discover I-Park!

I-Park, Connecticut’s premier artists-in-residence program, is celebrating almost fifteen years of programming. I-Park is an intimate artists’ community nestled in 450 acres of woodlands, fields and wetlands in rural East Haddam; it borders the Devil’s Hopyard State Park.  I-Park’s sole mission is to nurture individual artistic pursuits in the fields of music composition/sound sculpture, architecture, the visual arts, landscape/garden/ecological design, moving image and creative writing.  This year, I-Park has launched a community engagement campaign and is making its grounds available for exploration on select days.  If you are an art lover, an avid hiker, a bird-watcher, excited when encountering fauna and flora – or simply love to spend time outdoors, come and discover the beauty and mystery of I-Park.

OPEN Studios | OPEN House
Saturday, July 26
2:00 to 6:00pm

Visit them for an afternoon of music, poetry, visual arts, libations and lively conversation.  As part of your visit, you will meet I-Park’s current artists-in-residence. The artists will be in their studios and you are welcome to stop by to see what they’ve been working on during their stay with us.

There will also be a select number of artists’ presentations followed by a site walk. I-Park’s Founder will lead those who are interested on a guided Art Trail Walk. You will get an opportunity to get up close to several examples of ephemeral, site specific art installations that have been created over the years in conjunction with I-Park’s international artists-in-residence program.
